I WISH the cat-on-my-head thing was a joke.
In a year that has gone as smoothly for me as that initial plane landing on the very first episode of Lost (HAHA! If only), I find myself endlessly and profoundly thankful for the close cast of characters in my life –– people whom I'm lucky enough to love and be loved by in return. (Chris: FYI –– I only tolerate you.) (Jared: I DON'T EVEN DO THAT.) Okay fine, whatever, AT LEAST MAUREEN TOTALLY LOVES ME. Pffft. Anyway. Though I do try, I know I could never thank any of them enough for the gifts they constantly give me –– both big and small yet also altogether immeasurable –– that fill my life with the riches of laughter and sanity and perspective and hope.
No, seriously. A LOT more:
GOOBER GOBBLE.
Oh, like I could actually figure out how to cook a real turkey. Anyway, THIS bird is approved for all our vegetarian and vegan friends as well as people who like to see Chris in pictures where he looks completely asinine awesome!
So, best wishes, everyone –– to you and all the particular people YOU love and are loved by, no matter where you're living. I'm thankful for each of you who stop by here. Without you, this blog would amount to nothing more than me just sitting around and talking to myself. You know, just like I'm usually doing in real life.

P.S. Yes, I know this isn't the previously promised cow post. Not to worry –– it's still in the works. Just trust me when I say it's not my fault. Cows cannot be rushed. And don't even ask me what that means because I have no idea.
